My new album “Friday Night Train Home” is now available via the website. The official release date is 11th November but you can buy it from my online shop from today. A download version will be available in the next few days. Please listen to clips if you want to get an idea what it sounds like.
I’m delighted with the album. Dave Ellis and Boo Howard grace most tracks with their lovely playing and gorgeous backing vocals. The album has been produced by Dave Ellis in his usual polished style. Hope you like it!
I heard the piece that you wrote for the the detective series on radio 4 (Cutting edge) – I prefer CDs since I don’t trust DRM and mp3 (loss of fidelity) and of sufficient age that albums make sense to me – I’ll look for your CDs next time I’m in the U.K.
All the best
Christopher
Dear Christopher: Thanks for your message. Glad you liked the track on the radio series. I’m afraid there is no recording of “Wasted Years” available: it was written years ago at the request of a friend. You may or may not have realised that it isn’t me doing the singing anyway! Also it’s a completely different style from my own songs: much more jazzy which was the style requested. If you DID want to order a CD of my own recordings that’s perfectly possible from the website: I’m happy to send to the US but you may be disappointed if you were expecting it to be anything like “Wasted Years”. Thanks for getting in touch, best wishes Liz
